Bimetallic Sheet Manufacturer

Bimetallic Sheet Manufacturer and Supplier in Mumbai, India. A bimetallic strip is used to convert a temperature change into mechanical displacement. bimetallic strips (aluminium-copper) to be used between aluminium and copper surfaces of electrical junctions carrying current, to avoid galvanic corrosion. The bimetallic strip is manufactured by bonding aluminium of EC grade and copper sheets together by rolling under high pressure in several operations till the desired thickness is achieved.

Aluminium of EC grade conforming to IS:737-1974 2008(Revised 2013) or latest(wrought aluminium and aluminium alloy sheet and strip for general engineering purposes) and copper sheets conforming to grade Cu-CATH-1 or Cu-CATH-2 or Cu-FRHC of IS:191-2007 or latest(Specification for copper). The ratio of thickness of aluminium and copper will be 4:1, in the finished condition. The bimetallic strip will be soft annealed before supply.

Bimetal Sheet of Aluminium and Copper is also called or known as below mention.

Copper Aluminium Bimetal Sheet

Copper Aluminium Bimetal Sheet is also called as Copper Cladded Sheet. Copper Aluminium Sheet is made Of Copper On One Side And Aluminium On Another Side. Composition Of Copper And Aluminium Is 80%Cu / 20%Al ( 80% Aluminium And 20% Copper) thus make them very much lighter then pure copper.

Copper Aluminium Bimetal Sheet Is Available In Following Sizes
The thickness of bimetallic strip will be 1mm or 2mm as specified. The thickness would be uniform through-out.
A tolerance of +0.06 mm / -0.06 mm for the strip of 1 mm thickness and a tolerance of +0.09 mm / -0.09mm for the strip of 2mm thickness

Bimetallic Washer Manufacturer

bimetallic washer

We are Bimetallic washer manufacturer, bimetal Cu-AL washers are used for connections between copper conductors and aluminium conductors, in order to avoid corrosion that makes connection ineffective and unreliable.

The interposition of a bimetallic Cu-AL plate or washers prevent the onset of the problem: since these products are bimetallic (obtained by explosion welding), the copper and aluminium surfaces are molecularly linked, without the presence of an electrolyte that can trigger the galvanic corrosion.
